The Child Custody Project site explores child custody in Virginia and the United States. The project aims to provide a centralized, thoughtful, impartial, and interdisciplinary resource grounded in humanities scholarship. The framing essays are written by regional and national scholars and practitioners in the complex field of child custody, introducing issues integral to the exploration of the subject for a broad audience.

The Virginia Child Custody Project was created by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (RRCHNM) at George Mason University, and was made possible through generous support from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
